2022 ID.4 Production Start Dates

I previously posted about fleet management sites that publish production start dates for North American vehicles. Today I noticed that Donlen has now listed the 2022 production start dates for the ID.4:

Volkswagen (Build Out Final Order Start Up Dates) - Donlen

They call out 2022 factory production start dates for the RWD and AWD as 6/21/21. The previously published 2021 RWD & AWD factory start dates didn't change and are still listed as 10/12/20 & 3/8/21, respectively, with the information current as of November 20th. Given the delayed delivery of 1st Editions and the possible delay for the remaining first year RWD's and AWD's, it's strange VW doesn't just call them all 2022s.

That is Chattanooga correct? I had a feeling they would start production next year sometime.

It's not really clear when Chattanooga would start production. All the articles I've read just say the Chattanooga plant will start ID.4 production in 2022. I still assuming at least some portion of 2022 model year NA deliveries will come out of Germany.

Oh ok! I read somewhere Chattanooga is ramping up training and hiring and that the plant is on schedule because COVID didn’t really affect construction. Well, as in all cases, time will tell.

Right. I remember that too. Maybe it was this article.

@tallt456 just provided the answer here. Seems like we have confirmation that the 2022 ID.4s will have different features than the 2021 cars.
Any news on when 2022 ID.4 production cycle begins? (I think I read somewhere it is sometime in October??)

Saw a thread yesterday on the FB group saying December now, due to supply shortages. Makers me suspect there will be something new added or charged, but hey, could just be paint color. But the December part looks certain.

The main thing I have seen hyped by VW is the Bi-directional charging of vehicle to grid, and vehicle to home. As in this thread:
It could also be price changes, which could make those of us who have waited almost a year drop their orders. Or maybe we will be happy that we waited so long and will be fine with a years worth of depreciation a few weeks after we get them. I think the whole reservation system is why they are not saying much about the 2022 models, since most makers love to hype what new is coming way before its released.
