Sounds like a piece of trim is rubbing possibly. If you feel like it, take a photo of the area where the brake pedal arm pivots.

If you're hearing the "clicks" from the rear of the car then it'll likely be either the rear hatch light bar popping out of its sockets or, in my case, the roof rail screws not torqued to spec. I've taken our MY21 ProRWD to the dealer abt this and of course they claimed they couldn't reproduce it. The strange thing with the roof rails screws issue, it is more obvious when it's warmer/sunny outside. hate those mystery noises that dealers almost always seem to have trouble reproducing. lolAnybody else hear a faint tick/clock noise when pressing down on or releasing the brake? so I noticed that I only hear it when I’m driving and then press the brake. When it’s parked and I press down, no soundSounds like a piece of trim is rubbing possibly. If you feel like it, take a photo of the area where the brake pedal arm pivots.
Yes I feel like this is exactly what I’m talking about except for me it happens whenever driving and pressing the brake and releasing. Going to have it checked at the dealer on WednesdayI have recently started noticing a loud, unmistakeable click upon hitting the brake, usually at lower speeds <20mph, and it is almost certainly coming from outside the cabin, somewhere up front. If it happens once, you can't just immediately reproduce the condition by releasing the brake and braking again. But, I haven't tried enough times to figure out a reliable pattern. As soon as I do, I guess I'll go back up to the dealer and show it to the tech.
This is entirely separate from the groan/creak noises and frequent squeak/squeal noises I've learned I have to live with. [2021 ProS RWD with 15K miles and 3.1 update installed]
hmm nah I don’t think this is it. It’s def like a very faint click/tick.I think there is a recall or TSB out for the lower brake clips on the front end. Though that's described in the details as more of a rattle than a click. Don't know if that's the same issue or not.

Huh, that's interesting. Around the same time I began noticing the click, I also began to suspect there was a rattle in the wheel well on rough roads that corresponds to the description in that TSB. I was trying to ignore it hoping I was just being too sensitive. Hmm. Guess I have 2 issues for them to look at, then.I think there is a recall or TSB out for the lower brake clips on the front end. Thanks for the input! So I have had this click in various VW's through the years, while my ID.4 does not "click" my eGolf, my 2012 Jetta Sportwagen TDI and the 2015 Jetta 2.slow did have the click. I honestly just chalked it up to the brake switch - wasn't noticeable on the ICE cars unless it was first start of the day as the rumbling engines kinda overpowered the click.
I would say nothing to worry about.
