Picked up the red '23 Pro S tonight in the cold and dark. I didn't get as much on my 2017 CRV trade-in as I'd like but I also went to the Honda dealer to get an appraisal and they didn't offer enough more to make a difference. I got it for MSRP.
Installed the Yurik rear licence holder. The screws to hold it to the car were very tight and difficult to get through the recessed mounting hole. Otherwise it's a great system and the salesman eas asking where I found it.
Illinois doesn't have EV specific plates any more which is fine by me. I live in a rural area and want to avoid any EV hate.
I made it home in one piece and figured out enough to get heat, radio, and cruise control.
Looks like I may hold off on the trip to Iowa. It's about 100 miles. 0F temps, possible 50 mph headwinds, L1 charging at the destination and no viable options for fast charging. 48 hrs to charge in 0F at 1.5 Kwh, optimistically. That sounds iffy.
Both the Juicebox 40A and my Maxgreen portable EVSE are working. Yay!
Got the car mostly set up and tore my hair out for a while trying to get the home link garage door opener set up. Eventually I remembered that I had to use the handheld remote to program the mirror remote control, and then I followed those instructions on this site and all was good.
Mine has the Pirelli tires. The 600 plus dollars of add-ons which included a roadside emergency kit, first aid kit and some blocks to prevent stuff from moving around in the trunk looked like about $50 worth of stuff.
