So, I call them and they told me they have ID.4s for sale? Their website shows about six vehicles. Since you were there... Do they actually have inventory outside reservations?

I can't say for sure. They have a white one for display which may be for sale. The others are hidden away. One of the six was my car. They show a dealer discount, but I did not get that on my reservation. They also have dealer extras that they add onto the price making it $1500 more that is non-negotiable.

What kind of Dealer Extras are we talking about here?
Nitrogen in the tires, VIN etching and the like. They are all done before the car goes on sale so I couldn’t say I don’t want it.

Hmm. If I haven't requested those things on a car that I specified and ordered (and am not choosing off the lot), my reaction ranges from "not my obligation to pay" all the way to "you vandalized my new vehicle".

It was very annoying.
I once made the mistake of accepting dealer add-ons that were already on the car and I didn't really want. Never again! My answer going forward will be: You put it on, you take it off, or give it to me for free, your choice.

I'm just lucky I got such a good deal on my car insurance, so it leveled everything out. But I'm just happy to be (almost) done with the process.

Sigh. Stupid dealer tricks. I would complain to VW corporate.

Wow - I test drove that car today! Gonna make a quick post about my, and my wife's, experience but yeah - I changed my dealership (for my AWD reservation) about an hour ago from Bridgewater after I learned about their lovely $699 doc fee and $299 security fee. SEE YA!!!
I would switch to Reydel - [email protected] is very sincere and is looking out on the best for his customers

How much did they charge for nitrogen?

Seriously. It's free at Costco.
