When I powered up the other day a notice appeared on the screen behind the steering wheel saying “inspection service in 30 days”. Each day since it appears saying 29 days, 28 days, etc. Is this supposed to be referring to the 10,000 mile service? Im only at 7500 miles and based on driving patterns I’m still 2-1/2 months away from hitting 10,000 miles on our 2023 ID4 Pro RWD. Anyone get this message as they approached 10,000 miles? I’ll be at zero days remaining well before I hit 10,000 miles and I wonder what will happen to the message/car?
Inspection service is scheduled on the basis of both miles and calendar years. Has it been 11 months and a few days since your last inspection service? If so, it will come due on the basis of it being a year since the last inspection service. If you drove more than 10,000 miles in a year, it would instead come due on the basis of crossing a 10,000 mile boundary.

Don’t run over, though. Better to get it early than get into an argument about whether you did it soon enough.
I'd actually bring the car to the dealer and get them to agree, preferably in writing in your car's “Permanent Record” that the inspection service reminder came on too early. Nowadays, considering a recent Service Bulletin, they may even know how to successfully reset it.
