Firstly, this forum has been the biggest driver of my channel to date, and for that I want to thank you all. So firstly, and importantly, VW threw a whole team from corporate at my vehicle a few weeks ago, looking for the issues of my batter losing >50% of the battery inside 30 miles. They have dumped the data, and now, I will drive up to Portland/Seattle over the next 10 days, then they will do another data dump. We have changed a few parameters to ensure we don't get error codes that dirty the data. There is a video on all of that here

I am working with the ODBD manufacturer and EVnotify on it separately, I have shared the data with them, with VW's consent.

Next - I am have produced 2 videos with JK EV, discussing why we bought ID4's, and our experience of long-distance road tripping them. We have two more in the can and have ideas for 4 more. Lastly, I have completed my coast-to-coast trip and will put up a video that documents the whole trip each week. Later today, at 2.30pm I will premier Episode 4, and be on the live chat throughout to answer any questions, or just to say hi. The production values are not as high on this one - I made a mistake in the camera settings and recorded the whole thing in slowmo, which meant the video at night went to hell. However, the video set for the 24th, the final leg into NYC, to the Redball Garage is the best editing I have ever done - it's still not Kyle from Out of Spec, or Brandon from EV nomad, but it's getting there. I wouldn't be amazed if the same trick that is used in Europe at the moment, would also work for the US-based cars.
Let me say that it's quite easy to get the update here, even as an ID4 owner...

The only thing the "special" first movers needed to do, is email a certain email address, to state that they want the update. On paper it is only for the first editions within certain European countries, and only the ID3.

Lets conclude that half of ID enthusiastic Europe has used the email and it seems that the e-mail address is automated, and any registered ID that gets matched to the email address from which the emails was send gets the update.

e.g. @ID.Furkan got his update today and he drives an ID.4. So i'm expecting a youtube vid from him in a day or two.

Car Scanner Elm Obd2 for iOS and Android can show cell voltages, and temperature in each module separately. You need to select VW ID3-ID4 profile in vehicle settings.

No comment - the data is being looked at in German. Update in a few weeks. Need the clean set for comparison.
