I placed an order for a second ID.4 (the Dusk Blue Pro/S) to sit next to my Dusk Blue FE for the wife a week ago or so.

It’s been deja vu because the first time I ordered the Pro/S it was due to be delivered on a Friday but the Wednesday before I found an FE at a competing VW dealer for MSRP and snapped it up and canceled the Pro/S order. This time, I checked this morning and found the exact Pro/S I ordered at a local dealership (well, it was listed on their website since it was on its way, but arrived this evening - huh?) for MSRP (no BS extras or markup). I placed a deposit over the phone and expect to finish the deal and pick it up in the next day or so, after prepping and “unpacking.”

While I was super excited the first time, my wife is “nervous.” She’s nervous since there is so much tech - but she wouldn’t drive “my” car because she claims she never saw me so “into’ a car - EVER - and we’ve had quite a few in our 30 years of marriage. Maybe she is right - first one I ever named. So, I fixed that….She can drive her own. Fully plan to trade one of them in for the ID.Buzz.

Also happens to be year here where the second tax credit will come in handy. So it’s a win-win. 😁

So what did you name your car?
Mine is named Electro Kate or Katie for short (after my mom who passed last year).

My wife wants to name everything. Even before I picked the car up at the dealer she was asking about a name. I told her that I haven’t had the chance to look under the hood to see if it is a boy or a girl. She pointed out that there was no tailpipe… so girl it is. Even after 32 yrs of marriage she still delights me

The twin is officially home (Pro/S and FE). No BS and straight MSRP pricing (as expected) for this a Reeves VW (Tampa, Florida), Sondra was our salesperson and everything went well and LOTS of gifts. This was a DIFFERENT dealer than my FE purchase in April (which also went well). Highly recommend if in (or can be) in the Tampa area.

I thought the same EXACT thing when I picked it up - except I do live in a land of no front plates …. But my FE was scarred. Oh well…. The other does look very cool though….

Just think of it as one place on its chin that you don’t have to scrub bugs off of.
