Just spent the morning banging my head against the proverbial wall trying to charge at a station run by "EVOLV".

Set up app and account, made a $20 payment. Tried multiple stations at the site. Lots of other cars charging away happily.

Every time I would try to activate the charger and plug it in, the charger led on my ID.4 would turn red. I even called EVOLV's customer service--they insisted that my session was showing "approved" and "active," even as the ID.4 was showing a red light.

Anyone have success with EVOLV?

I have yet to successfully charge at an EVGo station. They always seem to be malfunctioning.

I haven't seen an EVOLV charging station. So far I've used ChargePoint, EA, and Volta charging stations no issues with charging per se, but my car didn't want to let go of the Volta charging plug, so I used the key to manually unlock it. The only issue that I've had so far is trying to charge from home. I have to ensure that my budget EVSE plug is properly inserted into the charging port on the vehicle before I go or else it will only charge at the emergency charging speed of around 2 MPH. I don't have to be nearly as careful when I try to charge my FIAT 500e.

Anyone have success with EVOLV?

I have never encountered this brand. Where are they? It isn't even listed as a network in PlugShare.

We have ChargePoint and EVgo around here - I have used both with success.

Yet another app for EVOLV . Just why? They are far too late to the game to be trying to do this - just add a credit card reader and/or NFC (ApplePay), and be done with it.

I have a brand new iD.4.
This is my fourth electric car.
Lot's of charging problems.
Back at the dealership. They are going to try to upgrade the software.

Shouldn’t the dealer have provided you with the 2.1 software release at the time of delivery?

It turned out, the car may be the problem. Could not get it work properly on our own level 1, level 2, of Electrify America.

Dropped it off at the dealer this morning.

Hopefully, a software update with fix it.

Did you have any luck? I can see myself charging at Evolve NY from time to time.

Hope the dealer can get it sorted out. Car is useless with out being able to charge. Can not imagine the dealer not charging it up before delivery! Had they done that, they would have discovered the issue before handing it over to you.

Not sure what is wrong with the car

the dealer has ordered some parts. It might be the charging connection

will know more on Monday or Tuesday

I like the iD.4. It appears to be an outstanding car, very comfortable, great options.
