I can't help you, but I was wondering why you were working on getting a hotspot in your car. I am assuming you have smartphone and couldn't you just use that? I guess I am just not understanding the need for an in car hotspot. I'm a gear head not a tech geek, I have only had a smart phone for a few months.

Anyone able to get the Wifi hotspot in their name?
I ran out of the complementary data on the in-car hotspot and was infiormed that I needed to contact Verizon to add my own account. So far nobody at Verizon is able to add the IMEI number to my existing account or to a new one. They are hitting a myriad of errors. I am now going through corporate escalation. Wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a data account for the in-car wifi.

Does the wifi connectivity still work but without data?
When I didn't connect to wifi, I couldn't use wireless CarPlay. Does CarPlay still work even though you don't have data left?

My hotspot trial has expired, I’m fine with paying $20 monthly to Verizon, but I too am stuck at the IMEI number. Has anyone been able to sign up?

Was going to advise that you need to sign up via Car-Net. I signed up through the CarNet app with no difficulty. I waited until the 30 days was almost up but still active.
