Anyone hear/feel thumping noise from under car?

I've had this happen about 3 or 4 times, while driving or fast charging. A sudden thump noise from under the car. It's faint enough that can go unnoticed while the music is on, but I can feel it on my feet.

I'm guessing it could be somewhere from within the battery compartment, but I'm not sure what exactly this is or what could be causing it.

Anyone else experience this at all? I have a RWD Pro S.

Yes, I've heard/felt this too. No explanation available yet and haven't been able to isolate what the trigger is. We're in an ID4 Pro, manufactured 3/21.
I've heard it only couple of times while fast charging and I've owned mine since May.
Thermal expansion / contraction of the battery casing. Totally normal.

Maybe a hitch hiker is stuck under the car! 😉

One of possibilities...without close observations it would be hard for me to tell you anything.
The thump occurs for me all the time. It is a compression pressurization type of thump coming from the front of the battery & "firewall" area.

I get in the car with the fob & the seat sensor powers up the car, but I have not stepped on the brake pedal yet. I hear a very low motor whine & a "thump." It is also a thump I can feel too in my ears & my chest. "mrvvvvvvvvv-THUMP/low, low dB boom"

Asking the first three responders (DSC, tennr & thomas_y3) if this is the sound.

Hey Mark, the seat sound (when to sit or get out of the driver seat) is not what I was referring to. This sound is specifically from under floor (the battery compartment) of the car.
It's the battery. My car does this at a steep elevation change without fail, every time. Teslas do this too, especially when supercharging. Totally normal. Temperature and/or pressure cause this.

(sigh) I might be large, however the reference to the seat is not connected to my getting in or out of the car... You've misread my comment. & I'm not fat, I'm just big boned...

That’s the HV contacts closing to engage the HV pack

I’ve driven a whole lot of EVs and DCFC almost as many - almost every one has clunking from the HV battery with extreme elevation change or with thermal changes like DCFC or cold ambient temp after driving.
