Like nothing to complain about. Just enjoying the car. No screen freezing, no bunch of errors in the screen that clear after a reboot, no inability to move the car from park, no mechanical issues, etc. Anyone experiencing a car that "just works?"

Not talking about things you would like to be different/better, just a "no glitches" experience.

Thanks!

Yes but no?

Not complaining, just enjoying the car, but occasionally the screen goes black and requires a reset, a few times the volume control became unresponsive, but we (wife & I) both learned to hit the A/V power thingy for 10 seconds to perform a reset and meanwhile the car just keeps driving.

Some issues at EA but I don't know that those are ID.4 specific, more likely a problem @ the station -- they seem dependent on which charging location or specifically which charger stand we use. Charging @ home has been 100% reliable.

And I'll assume for everybody the scheduled charging doesn't work. So for some, that's a HUGE issue.

You'll find there are instances where this is more owner-attitude dependent than vehicle dependent. Of course, if the car stops in the middle of the street and won't move that's pretty damn impossible to brush off. If the sunshade won't close that's a issue, not a bug.

So which column do you put me and my ID.4 in?

Was until yesterday, my 8xxx bricked in the driveway at my summer cottage. Had been enjoying the car. Touch screen acted up last Tuesday & wouldn't allow any buttons to be applied in the lower 75% of the infotainment screen. So now 2 things.

Got our moonstone grey pro s 3 weeks ago. Already own a Tesla. We absolutely love love the car! Over a thousand miles on it already, zero issues. It’s my wife’s car (upgraded from a Nissan Leaf). We’ve taken it on a couple camping trips and some light off-roading were I wouldn’t take my Model 3. It’s not perfect but neither is Tesla. I think VW has made an awesome car and will sell lots and lots!

Off topic: Maui wowee that’s a really great image!

On topic: 14xxx, it’s had a cornering lamp error from the beginning. The rest, reprising my go-to word for ID.4, is competent. And, it’s hands down the quietest car I’ve ever owned, driven, probably ever ridden in. To me, those are two extremely important attributes.

One other thing, I should wear a button that says, "Ask MeTo Show You My Turning Radius!"

I have only had a few minor s/w issues and one-time anomalies, all of which auto-reset, in my now 4-month ownership.

My sole mechanical is the common tail light bar bulge in hot weather.

Otherwise very much enjoying my ID.4. It's exceeded my expectations both as a highway cruiser and project materials hauler.

Aside from of course insurance & excise tax it costs next to nothing to operate!!

They say there's no such thing as a free ride, nor a free lunch, and yet ... (the State funded grant money, plus Tax credits, will buy a lot of lunches!). 😁

I have a little over 5000 miles on my FE and except for a few software glitches that VW failed to correct before delivery I have enjoyed the ID4. I have had three months of driving that has cost me almost nothing. A great ride that is quiet and comfortable.

After 3 months and 3,500 miles on my FE, I really have no complaints. Just love the car. Drives great, extremely quiet, comfortable, handles great. Best car I think I have ever owned. I've gotten a few comments/questions from people I see in parking lots, many of them Tesla owners.

I was wondering the same thing. I started a poll a couple days ago on the general thread hoping to gauge folks' experiences and so far the most popular vote has been for "no problems". So that's good.

6000 miles since 4/20 - hiccups, but all cleared and no issues (no different than any other tech I’ve owned).

Same here, although far fewer miles.

There are very small steps from quirky to temperamental to minor issues, and then a big one to major issues. We’ve heard lots about the former category, relatively little about the latter (even though the definition of major is certainly in the eye of the beholder).

Aloha! I've had the car for 2 months (and 2000 miles) and have had no mechanical issues. The usual "hiccups" with the infotainment system, but that is a minor issue which I'm sure will be addressed in the next OTA update. What I can't believe is how I got 2000 miles already considering that Oahu is only 50 miles wide at its most extreme. I don't commute into Honolulu anymore (yeah, retired guy here). But this car is such a joy to drive that my wife and I have decided to sell our other (ICE) car and rely on this car instead.
