When I ordered my ID.4 Pro S (US) I was asked if I wanted to add LuxeCare which is like Permaplate or one of the many other interior exterior applications that dealer offer and apply on every part of the car.

I declined.

My vehicle looks amazing. Super shiny, super clean. One thing that stands out is that my bridgestone tires are jet black and shiny. Strikingly so. I wonder if they apply this product to every car that comes in and if someone declines they simply do not get the warranty that comes along with the product or if the ID.4 is just so gorgeous that its tires are shiny?

Thoughts?

Yes, I think you're correct. The same thing happened to me.

usually every new cars out of dealers have crazy tire shines to make the cars look new/attractive, and when I picked up my car, I asked the service folks and they didn't know what the product was. All they told me was that it's some sticky blue material that they apply, so I assume it's oil based, but nothing more than that 🤷‍♂️

Yep, check out my post of my car in one of the other threads. They told me about it AFTER they applied it.

I assumed my dealership did the high gloss shiny tire thing, especially for first sale photo's. They over did it a bit and there was some "sling" on the aft quarters on my trip home, so again presumed done just prior to delivery.

I prefer more a mat black satin gloss tire look such as Zaino's product (which being a superior formulation has no sling unless carried away with same): Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss

Photo taken just yesterday and applied at least 3-weeks ago (?):

btw: when I returned from my beach walk a lady was looking at it so I had to shift into "VD ID.4 Ambassador" role. ;)

My ID.4 tires were super shiny gloss when I receive it, but 1000 miles road trip in rainy weather later (and two small bumper rock chips!) they returned to typical car dull rubber tires. But those massive 20" rims... still beautiful as ever.
