Audi Q4 E-Tron Standard Regenerative Braking

Interesting that in some other countries Audi Q4 E-Tron can supposedly be had without adaptive cruise control, yet braking still behaves something like adaptive cruise control in some situations when in auto D Mode setting. Maybe it's available without adaptive cruise control because of chip shortages? The Audi is a more expensive version of the VW ID.4, so this doesn't make a lot of sense. It would be nice for viewers in U.S. to know if the car would come to a complete stop in B Mode -- the video doesn't seem to show that.
It seems odd that the driver's screen doesn't seem to show the posted speed limit, unlike US ID.4's. Maybe they can flip through different driver's screens and some show the posted speed....

my 2020 bolt acted like it had ACC for sure sometimes as well...

I had a '17 Bolt LT with blind spot warning option, but I don't remember it acting like it had ACC. Maybe it would have if I had driven it in D Mode, but from the first day I always drove it in B Mode .... Really liked the fact that the car would come to a complete stop by itself in B. Didn't the more expensive trim of Bolt have something like an automatic emergency braking option, at least at lower speeds?
Another thing, I think the ID.4 stops faster than the Bolt, but the Bolt had more brake boost, the lack of which I'm thinking is an ID.4's weakness. Sometimes I have to hit my Pro's brake pedal really hard to get car to stop.

The vehicle doesn't come to a complete stop, but it creeps. It's more efficient that way since it takes less energy to get moving again than starting from rest.
I remember 5 or so years ago I rented an Audi A4 Premium. It had navigation but no ADAS other than emergency braking. Whenever I was driving close to a curve or an intersection, it didn't slow down the car automatically, however, it displayed the foot lift off icon on the screen and it was pretty cool. From what I gathered, it was there to give you the best efficiency.

The posted speed limit is literally shown on the screenshot you posted - 60 mph in the red circle :) You can have it displayed larger in the centre section of the virtual cockpit where long term memory / short term memory / driver assist info can also be displayed.

The auto braking without adaptive cruise is weird - most of the hardware for adaptive must be there to allow that to happen, not sure why it is not standard.

Thanks for watching

That's correct. You were experiencing Newton's 1st Law put into practice.

Welcome to the group and enjoy the forum.

I really like the Q4 virtual dash with all the info just like the ICE dashboard. And of course, the regen paddle shifters are a plus. Hopefully, it'll come for ID.4 ITNF.
Too bad no Q4 RWD coming to Canada but only quattro for now.

You're welcome, and thanks for posting your video on youtube.
