He got slightly more range than the ID.4 but was slightly warmer out (I don't know if he ran any heat on the ID.4 test):
GTX: 80kph (56mph) range 283 mi, 120kph (75mph) 205 mi.
ID.4: 80kph range 279 mi, 120kph 184 mi.

This makes sense since the front motor at a steady speed on the highway is not drawing any power.

Nice! So they're just flipping it off like the Taycan? (Sorry, wasn't following the ID.4 super closely until recently).
Yes. He also noted the AWD handling and cornering was better, and said this was true on his tests with other brands too.

I think it’s more turning on when needed rather than turning off when not needed. Cycling is dependent on throttle demand, driving mode, potentially other instances.
