My ID.4 stopped my charging session after charging for an hour and half without completing the set charge to 80%. Does anyone know why it stopped charging without completing the charging to 80%? I had started the session with 26% and 84 miles remaining and it charged only up to 104 miles and around 31%!

Are you trying to use schedule charging or setting a departure time? Those features are not working correctly and we are waiting for a software update to fix that. Turn all of those features off. I've done that and my L2 charger at home has been flawless for the three months that I've had the car -- I plug it in and it charges uninterrupted to the correct percentage level.

Both scheduled and departure settings are found in the "location" screen under the "vehicle" tab. The easiest way to get rid of those settings is simply delete any location you have set.

If this isn't the issue, there are some other things to check. Check the circuit breaker to the charger outlet. Check the charger -- is it functioning? Does it work with the car now, even for short periods? Does the car work with other chargers? Have you tried the car with the included 120 volt portable charger? As you can see, there are a lot of other things to check and try if the scheduled/departure issue isn't the cause.

As KB57 noted, VW recommends routinely charging to only 80%. This helps maximize battery life. However, charging to 100% every now and then for a road trip is not a problem. Just don't turn 100% into your daily routine.
