In my ID.4 1st, I have the child locks activated.
It has happened twice now that, after driving, I get out of the car and find myself unable to release my kids from the back seats because the back door handles won't respond. On both occasions they magically worked again as soon as both front doors were fully closed.
I fail to see the logic in this behavior, but in any case I find it scary to think that, in an emergency, I might not be able to get the kids out, just because one of the front doors isn't perfectly closed.

Has anyone ever experienced the same problem?

Thanks, C

Try a double click of unlock on the key fob.
