Battery Preconditioning for L1/L2 on 2024 ID.4 with V4.0 s/w?

I saw a youtube video about the Enyaq, which had a chart of battery preconditioning temperatures(*). It seemed to show that 2024 models, if they came with v.4 software, would precondition the battery to 10C (like the original 2021 FE software), when plugged into an L1/L2 charger. Has anyone heard anything like that about the 2024 ID4 for US?

That wouldn't be as good as a manual or nav-based precondition, but most of the hotels I stay at have "block heater" plugins for guests, which I have used for L1. It doesn't add much range, but heating the battery would make it worthwhile.

If you look at Battery Life's video about the ID.7, it shows both the ability to turn on preconditioning manually by touching a button on the screen, and also the ability to do this by navigating to a charger. That car has 4.0, so there is hope that a 2024 ID.4 would be able to do the same.

I wonder what the 24's preconditioning will be. Teslas i think heat to like 45-50C, hopfully VW will heat some where close to that

It will likely heat to 70F, same as it does when you are DCFC. Slightly above that and it starts cooling the battery.
