At the knowyourvw.com website, there is a Bluetooth compatibility checker for phones and tablets. Using the drop down selection boxes for the ID.4 and T-Mobile as carrier, it does not list Apple phones as a choice for compatibility. I can’t believe that would be the case, and since my ID.4 has not been delivered, I’m turning to those on this forum to find out if their IPhones are compatible.

I have an iPhone X, my wife an iPhone 12 Mini, and before that iPhone 8. All three were fine to pair and keep on Bluetooth. We use wireless Car Play, which also uses WiFi, although initial pairing was definitely via Bluetooth.

What is odd is that if I change the carrier to Verizon or AT&T, Apple does appear, although it only lists phones through iPhone 6S. This must be a portion of the VW online communication strategy that hasn’t seen updates in awhile, or their compatibility testing is a wee bit behind.
