Just received email regarding battery management system reset/pulse inverter for my MY21 ID.4 AWD Pro.
I am about to head to Denver, CO, should I avoid road trips with VW all together until car software is updated?
my wife is going to freak out when she hears this! are there any suggestions about what is the root issue/cause?
keep driver assist off? any preventative measures?

VW says in their email...if this happens contact your dealer "to have the vehicle diagnosed/repaired." how can this be
fixed if the software is not available today? VW clearly is NOT saying to NOT drive vehicle! will VW be liable for crashes?

I agree with the suggestion that you go visit the other threads but addressing your main question:

Even though this fault is serious, there seem to be few or no instances of this fault occurring “in the wild”. Speaking just for myself, I won't be modifying the way that I use my 2021 ID.4 just because of this newest announced bug.
