Bogus "Take control of steering" alerts

While driving to the dealer (2 hours each way), the display began to show "Take over steering immediately." This alert went right to the red version, skipping the less histrionic white and yellow warnings that occur when your hands are off the wheel. The alerts were momentary, but they occurred about five times. When these alerts occurred, I had both hands firmly on the wheel and was not wearing gloves or anything that could defeat the sensor (which I understand is capacitive). At the dealer, I added this anomaly to the service order.
I seem to recall this happening a few times in situations where the Travel Assist cannot see any lane markings for anything but a really short period of time (it seems to be fine if it loses them for maybe a second) and I haven't actively turned the steering wheel myself. It does make sense, "I can't see the lane and you haven't reacted/steered for a few seconds, so better alert you immediately". I've also gotten a few red alerts when the car has mistaken a cyclist on the side of the road to be in front, but can't recall what it said. Red lights and a loud ping, for sure.

The white-yellow-red seems to come up when I have my hand on too lightly, am not steering and whatever time it triggers has run out, but the car still is in control ie sees lane markings (never gotten to red, and yellow only once when I tested what it would do on a clear straight road).
