This is what I get when I click on "Explore Preferences"
OK, I skipped over step 6, so I can't do any of this stuff. But 65$ for a coat hanger? GMAB.

That being said, I can select the car from the dealer website, and perform some of the same steps. But I will wait for a few hours and see if I hear from my specialist.

Nice info. LOL at this part: Vehicle Service Protection $1404, When the check engine light comes on, we'll be there.

Do we even have a check engine light?
Pretty sure we do. There are sensors all over the place, and if there is anything unusual, it will throw a fault.

Mine is at the leaving factory statue so was curious how long it takes to cross the ocean
10-12 days to the first port, which is sometimes Halifax, sometimes Davisville, sometimes Baltimore.

How long did it take from leaving factory to arriving in US.
I heard from my dealer the first batch of demo cars was held by customs for over three weeks. I don't know the reason (New type of car? Texas winter storm?), but I hope that will improve with the new batches.

The funny thing is they may need to call it something different than "check engine light", since we have no engine. Does it look like like the usual:

I wouldn't be surprised if it's still the same check engine icon, seeing as how VW still hasn't changed the Start Engine button in the ID.3 and ID.4

Pages 15-18 in the UK manual has all the symbols in the instrument cluster.
Thanks! that confirms there is no check engine light. I count about 62 other fault lights, and that's great since they more directly indicate which system has a fault.
The closest one would be "fault in electric drive system" or maybe "Electric drive overheated". I guess VW now calls all 62 of those lights the check engine light in some of their info. Other brands are calling them MIL malfunction indicator lights.

My guess is we will be stuck with the check engine light just like we still use a picture of a floppy disc for SAVE in computer systems. That said I looked over the list and saw that there was no check engine light listed, but if you look at the ID Cockpit display: a check engine light one up from the bottom on the left :)
