Interesting....nothing on the VW Canada site...just $1K promo but it does end in the next week or so.

 

Some of the Western Canada dealers are selling their 'demo' units at 'used' prices. That might be why $10K off.

 

Yeah, I saw that they had a demo unit on sale some time ago. But right now they're showing $10K off all the units that, according to their web site, they have in inventory. That's well over a dozen.

They have a pretty small chunk of land on Main St. in Vancouver, and I've never been able to spot an ID.BUZZ when I happen to drive by there, so I assume that their inventory is offsite somewhere. What I've always wondered is whether it's really "their" inventory or if it's a roster of vehicles that all of the local VW dealers have access to.

 

Probably a bit of both. IIRC Vancouver is owned by the Nanaimo folks, so some could be held there. I know that orange SWB version was shared back and forth. VWC maintains an inventory that any dealer can draw from, and dealers can swap units between each other. It appears that Van/Nan also has one of the largest allocations due to their volume of ID.4 sales.

I bought my Buzz from Kamloops, and I'm not sure they have sold another one, yet. As I recall, each dealer was allocated something like 8 per quarter.

Talked to a couple from Parksville recently with an identical spec to mine. Except my side door don't creak.

 

I just brought one here in Ontario. Looks like its a deal through VW financial for select high volume dealers, must be picked up by September 30. Maybe to reach a Q3 earning target. I was able to pick any color any model for the same deal as long as I can pickup before Sept30, was told mine is at the port but they need to rush it to the dealer for Sept30. 48 months 0%lease, plus 10k off
