So I just got an ID4 and I have difficulty setting up car net. The app asks me to scan a QR code from the center display and based on the instructions all I got was to click on the “we connect” option in the display settings which I did however the pages says “please wait” however it does not go any further and never shows any code. I’m wondering what’s the matter here and whats the solution?

My recollection is the first time I set up Car-net I used only the VIN, no problem. A few weeks later I fully reset the car and app, and had to re-login, and that was the first time I saw the QR code screen. I was stumped by it to, ended up manually entering the VIN, and only later (I don't remember how) saw the QR pop up on the screen.

I couldn't give you step-by-step to use the VIN, it just seemed very intuitive the first time and I didn't need any instructions. The second time I felt stymied by the process.

Mine did that and I left for alittle bit got back in the car and it eventually took, not the most helpful answer but maybe wait alittle bit and give it a go? I was gonna call Carnet support but as soon as the call connected the QR code popped up

Belated welcome to the forum Akani.

If you continue to have setup issues do call them and provide your VIN so you're on record for same. (833) 648-2735

Typically they resolve fairly quickly.

Note that your thread has been moved to the discrete Car-Net section where you'll find much discussion. Many of us had initial setup issues and/or loss of service due to their computer glitch at 30-day anniversary.

That's exactly the issue I had but it turned out to be Car-Net's computer turning off all services when the 30-day WiFi Hotspot wasn't renewed. In the USA we get the basic three Car-Net services for 5-years. They turned it back on for me within 48 hours as I recall.
... And I recall at least a few of us had issues when the Verizon hot spot trial expired, though in my case that could have been due to me messing with system settings at around the same time. .

i have not seen thing related to this one. But yesterday it was happened with me but i have read your all comments but unable to find the best solution.

can you please help me regarding to this?
