I've taken to occasionally making use of CarNet to remotely cool the car in the Summer heat - usually no more than 5 minutes before using the car.

For some reason, I'm surprised at its behavior. When I turn the A/C on remotely, then take the car for a drive, I simply presumed that the A/C would turn off when I next lock the car. However, I've come back a few times to the A/C running.

Does anyone know:
  • if one needs to manually return to CarNet to turn it off?
  • Is it working on a 30 minute timer similar to extended A/C, so it stays on for 30', regardless?

In my experience the AC turns off after driving as soon as you get out of the driver's seat, no matter what settings or remote setup was done.

The car also has battery cooling which runs a fan on the radiator, it may run after you turn the car off when it is hot out, but I've only experienced that while charging.

It’s on for a 30 minute default unless you turn it off via the app (the way you turned it on).

Thanks, that’s what I had imagined. I really wish there were a setting change such that: 1) driving would disengage the climate, or 2) you could actually set the dwell time. But I suppose that’s a lower priority than just making CarNet function!
