Charge Point Auto Stop?

First time using Charge Point for free at a Public parking Garage. All went as I expected, almost.
When I returned to the car, it unlocked as usual as I approached. I went to the charging port and it was White, indicating it wasn't charging and without using the app or the Charge Point Unit to quit charging, I was able to unplug the charger.
According to the app and to my car it did charge for the 1 hr and 58 minutes.
My question is, does the charging stop automatically when the car is unlocked or did I arrive coincidentally when the charger just quit charging?

I do not have unlock on approach set on my car, however I am unable to unlock my car without interrupting charging, so I would guess the later, the charge finished at about the same time you returned.
Did your car indicate it was fully charged to the level you selected?
