Hello, has anybody's charge port door got stuck shut by chance? Mine did and I had to finally "pop" it open to charge the vehicle. Well, when I popped it, it broke the plastic inside and the door itself was slightly bent. Very happy with my dealer taking care of it for me at no charge.

"Don't force it." ;) Yes, it locks, as do many ICE fuel flaps.

Good to hear the dealership replaced it regardless.

I had exactly that happen within the first week of having the car. My daughter figured out that unlocking the car unlocked the cap. Who knew? :ROFLMAO:

I almost forgot about using the key to unlock the charging cable early on. It was supposed to be on automatic unlock after charging and I tried to disconnect via the software, both to no avail. I guess that it took me about 15 minutes to remember to unlock the car to disconnect. I must have looked like a girly man while I was trying to figure it out.

We had this issue several days ago. The charging port door would not open, so we were unable to charge the car. We wound up having to pop it off, breaking the door cover tabs. Yes, it was unlocked (we tried numerous times locking and unlocking). My wife and I had both experienced previous times when it took several tries to open the charging port door. Our dealer is taking care of it. They think that the actuator failed. It does bother me that such a small thing is capable of rendering the car unusable. Hopefully this will never happen again, but if it does, it would be nice to know a way around it without breaking the door. We get the car back tomorrow.

I feel your pain! Same exact thing happened to me at work and I had to break it to get it opened...ouch!!! Good news is the dealer repaired it for no cost. Maybe the next software update will take care of it for us.
