Chargers near Sheridan Wyoming?

Trying to plan a trip, involving travel on I-90 from Seattle area to Western Minnesota. It appears that charger coverage on I-90 is sub-par, and in particular, there is no DCFC charger near Sheridan, Wyoming.

Does anyone travel I-90 in the mid-west and have some insight they can offer?

Can you find a place you can stop for lunch that has a NEMA 14-50 and bring 32 or 40 amp travel charger. It would be an extended lunch, but you could pick up an extra 50-60 miles over a couple of hours. Not sure if that gets you the extra distance. Otherwise, you may need to find somewhere to spend the evening and Level 2 charge overnight (though I know you said that’s not ideal).

The only thing I could see happening is if the Billings Montana EA charger or alternative and charge up at 100% and arrive at Gillette, WY EA charger. However that's pushing it for the summer and I would just say no in the winter. If conditions get bad which is typical in WY with wind then you might not even make it with 100%.

Take care out there but just make sure you have a backup plan.

There is a Best Western with a Tesla Supercharger, but an adapter for CCS is still unobtainium. Besides, I did not plan on staying there. I merely name that city because if there was one there, or near there, it would work.

Really, I was looking for a 150 or 350 CCS charger. And it looks like there are none, and no immediate plans to open one, at least that I can find out about.

One word: Tesla.

They have a supercharger in Sheridan, others on the route. When I shopped for an EV, I did not adequately assess the infrastructure in place.
I knew about the infrastructure issue, but I really do not like the model3/x interior. I just thought by now the infrastructure would be a little more built out. Back in 2021 there were more non-EA fast chargers planned for I90 in South Dakota. But then in 2021 Musk said he was opening up Tesla SC to all EV, and EA was going to open charging stations in South Dakota a bunch of groups backed out since they could not compete with the big two. So here we sit without the infrastructure. I do not even see coming soon any more for EA locations in South Dakota

More electric vehicle charging stations coming to South Dakota

I am a little late in posting, but the trip was made, on I-90, and with Murdo coming online at the Casino, and several car dealer chargers, we made both directions of the trip without any problems. We did use a NACS / Tesla adapter at Mount Rushmore, with a Tesla charger, and received our only L2 charge for the trip.

Hotel L2 charging seems highly unreliable, and is complicated by special needs for a hotel (dictated by severe allergies to dog). So I considered L2 chargers only as a tertiary backup.
