I’ve had my ID.4 FE for about 3.5 weeks. Twice it has lost/forgotten my saved charging locations. Both times I re-added them. This morning I got up to find the charge light Red. I don’t think it charged at all overnight. I’ve tried multiple times but can’t get it to charge more than 30 seconds before it turns red again.
And now the Locations are not just lost, it says “This function not available yet.” I have shut off and restarted the car several time and message persists. Anyone seen this before? Any tips for either the Red light or location message?
FWIW SOC is 52%. I’m at home on a L1 charger (while we wait for the electrician to install the L2 JuiceBox).
And can anyone verify whether I can put these frustrations behind me once my JuiceBox is installed? We got a smart EVSE in hopes of better schedule setting, tracking, etc. I’m really hoping it will bypass all of this…

Yes it should as that "saved charging locations" is more intended-related to your own EVSE.

Note "charging location setup" early in the video. But know that scheduling is currently not working (we're hoping a near future OTA update v2.3 resolves).

This just happened to me for the first time two days ago! My vehicle wouldn't charge no matter what, because the scheduled charging pane just wouldn't load. Driving the car around seemed to fix it for me, I was able to plug in later that night and it adhered to the schedule. (I have 3 consecutive timers set, which gets me close to 70-80% every night. Still doesn't work great, but better than nothing)

Doing a screen reset (holding down power button) did not work. I assume a 12V battery pull would work, but wasn't needed in my case.

Once the scheduled charging bug is fixed, you won't need the Smart EVSE as the car will handle charge scheduling. I got a "dumb" EVSE to bridge the gap for now.

I have not set any "saved charging locations" and have had no problem with charging, either at home or at area Electrify America locations. Offhand, I'm not sure what the point is of a "saved" charging location, but am wondering if it is tied to the problematic scheduled time charging that is awaiting a software update. Have you tried deleting the saved charging locations and just charging the car without those?

It is so when you plug in at home, the car automatically waits until your scheduled time to get the cheapest electricity rate. If you plug in at work or another public charger, it'll charge immediately. This way you never accidentally charge at peak times @ home. (When the feature works, that is)

You can't delete the saved charging locations when this "This function is not available yet" bug is present since the whole preference pane is locked out.

It has been well documented in these forums that the scheduled time charging setup in the car is screwed up and doesn't work correctly. I suspect that is your problem. Lots of people are crossing their fingers that a fix will be included in the coming software update.

Drove it around at lunch and that did seem to bring the location info back. I went ahead and deleted what was saved and will try charging again tonight (peak time now!). Thanks for the tip- hope these things all get ironed out soon!

I have had my ID.4 for a week now and still stuck with the 120v charger. The good news is my NEMA 14-50 receptacle is now installed and operational and I'm waiting on my EVSE which is with FedEx somewhere between Texas and my home here in central Alabama. Hopefully by the weekend I will be charging much faster. The EVSE I have coming is a smart one so scheduling in the cheaper hours should work. I did get approved at Alabama Power for their rate reduction during the period of 9:00pm-5:00am daily. It is a reduction of 1.7 cents/kWh from their normal rate.

Now charging at Level 2 speed. Life is good.

Hey everyone. Late to the party but found this same problem today. Set a home location yesterday to be prepared to depart at 630AM. It didn’t finish charging overnight, and as a bonus, deleted the home location from the saved locations so I couldn’t delete it. The car refused to charge when plugged back in. Did a hard reset then did a full reset of factory settings through the menu. Car started charging fine after that. Did a test location in the menu, and the whole thing got messed up again. Even though there was no location saved, when I tried starting the charge from the app it said couldn’t because of a profile timer (the saved location) settings. I’ll attach the screen cap below. The only thing that solved it was doing another reset to factory settings. Now it’s saying that the saved location setting is “function not yet available.” But. Here we are. So. Also. What it’s worth. It said a “reset to factory settings could not be done at this time.” But it seems to have done it anyway. I love this car to my core, but man the software is bad.
