I have finally found a way to charge my iD.4. I have to push the charging cable in with force. If it works, you hear a solid click from the locking pin. If it does not work, you get a blinking red light from the charging indicator. Sometimes, it takes more than one try.

I have never seen the blinking red light and I have always heard the click when I have tried charging with 2 different EVSEs.

Same here, but I suppose it never hurts to be assertive and make sure all the right connections are happening.

I have had a similar issue with my Grizzl-e. Never with my Chargepoint EVSE. The ID.4 seems a bit picky with the charger handles getting in all the way.

Just make sure you can hear the locking pin work
