A work-around to the Scheduling Charging Problem

I put a 20-lb weight in the driver's seat (with a pillow and a small square plywood to spread the load evenly), this made the ID.4 "play nice" with the Charging Schedule settings. I then tried it out, using a setting to have a 90% charge by 7 am. It works like a charm. Hope this is some help...

I have a vw id3,and schedule charging has never worked.i changed my electricity supplier to avail of cheaper night rates, but car has never charged at night.the sales people in showroom don't seem to know how to rectify the issue.its very frustrating.

I recognize that many folks join forums specifically to get help with an issue and/or vent a frustration. Alas in this case still no resolution. We're all hoping the "near future" major software update finally facilitates scheduled charging so those with variable plans can be availed.
