When i started my id.4 awd climate control was not responsive. I tried saying hello id i am hot and message i got was that this function was not available after few minutes of driving I said hello id turn on the fan and then the climate control started working. Does anyone know the cause of this issue?

The Climate Control is likely turned off. The software is too stupid to turn it on for you.

Press the Clima button, and then press the power button in the upper left. It will then work for you.

My Clima button is slow to wake up after starting the car. The function is unavailable for a brief time (less than a minute), but I can't start the heater or defrost before I start rolling. I usually don't try to use the function until I have backed out of the garage. I hope this is the kind of unresponsiveness that will be remedied by the software update, which may or may not arrive before 2026.

This, when I went to test drive the car the AC was not working. I pressed the blue/red and nothing. Went to the climate screen and on the upper left is a power button. More complication when there shouldn't be.

Still on first version.....when you start the EV wait for small screen in front of steering wheel for all lights to finish checking.....infotainment could be still booting up but you can start right after small screen lights are gone....infotainment screen will be available when is booted.... it is a glitch with on board navigation maps that want onboard cellular network module in ready state....this module sometime need more time to boot from sleep.
If you have left Climatronic settings on at the last drive it will remain on on the next EV start ( this is work around for speedy guys if they don't have time to wait for all checking EV goes through).

This is one of the few things I do not like or hope can be updated is the slow response of climate controls when car is first turned on. Many times I find that this is the thing that I want to adjust right away when entering the car. There has even been a recent hiccup with the climate controls when I press the climate button the screen shows climate controls for a second and returns to previous screen, usually the main icons screen, not allowing any climate change. After a few minute, I have not timed it, I will be able to normally change climate.
