I've got a MY 22 Pro S with the 3.1 software installed at delivery. For the first 2 months I've owned the car the temperature set for the climate control has been the same when I get in the car, as when I last left the car. Recently, for some reason and not consistently, sets the temperature to 77F when I get in and start the car. To my knowledge I have not done anything differently than the previous 7 weeks in the car, so it bemuses me a little. Yes, this is minor in the scheme of software issues, but it's frustrating. Has anyone else had a similar situation? If so was there an easy fix or should I take it to my local dealer?

Mine has changed its mind about the temperature a few times. Possibly the scheduled charging is involved somehow, where you set what you want the temperature to be at departure--which might be different from how you had it set while driving yesterday?

No scheduled charge use here. That is a good idea which made me check myVW app, and it is set to 77 under the climate tab and its Off. So it must have started resetting the car temps on its own even when I do not use the app or scheduled charging or remote climate. Thanks!

@SunWizard, thanks for the validation. Was 77 always the temp you had on your MyVW app, or was it changed somehow? Mine still shows a temp of 67 for the remote climate, which is what I usually have it on for a nice cool entry, so the car hasn't changed the VW app for me.

No and I have not used remote climate since March. I did use the myVW app to change the Charge limit from 80 to 90%, so the app must have a bug where it read that my wife had the car set to 77, and saved it and really wants it set there every time (even when never using remote climate.) My wife is away with the car right now, so later today I will play with this and find out more what is wrong.

Maybe its the ghost who keeps resetting my mirror settings to something not even close to what I have saved in either 1 or 2 of saved seat/mirror positions. My wife says its not her since she has never tried to remember the trick to how to change the mirror positions.

I’ve noticed this too starting last week my car has been doing this, I’m on 2.1 on 21 US. I think this has something to do with MyVW app coz if use it pretty often and that’s not the temperature setting on my app or my car just a random 78F setting when re-entering the car

The "report car position" update suggests that they are working on the MyVW app. Which could* introduce bugs.

* AKA "always will introduce bugs because a fundamental rule of software development is that adding one small feature invariably triggers at least one bug."

Hopefully we get a fix soon, but at least it's going into Winter were a 77F bump isn't a bad thing. Thanks everyone for letting me know I'm not alone.

If set by key fob or app remote control start it will set temperature to the coded values for climatronic , this can be changed by obdeleven by setting different values. App will definitely adjust to whatever it is set on the app ( if outside temperature is within specifications to run heat or cooling).
Atlas, Tiguan and etc with latest generation will start at 73°F if starting with keyfob and it will revert to values user was setting when over riding remote start.
There are cases on ID4 where out of nowhere values do change ( bug is still not eliminated).
If someone has time to post coding values for climatronic i will see if there was some problems.

That's something new to me. How do you start the climate control on the ID.4 using only the key fob?

@VW TECHNICIAN I've experienced this while traveling, so no app or fob use. "setting new defaults... seat position may change accept or cancel" or something to that effect , and it changed the climate from 68 to 77. I had not adjusted any of my settings to need to verify the change to. I don't have have an OBDII so not sure how to get the coding you're asking for.

That is something new i have not yet been able to work on. When this happens do you momentarily loose all access to the air conditioning controls?

nope, everything still works it just goes from the assigned temp to 77 degrees. I can quickly reduce the temp again. Just a strange little hiccup.
