Used supplied 110v charger for a week no issues - pressed button on J1772 handle no lights came on when unplugging.
1st time using Clipper Creek - pressed button, white connection light came on, as I started to pull handle out, green light flashed briefly and went out as I had the handle fully out. Id4 displayed "could not charge to 80" followed by error on screen "electrical system not working" and Safely stop driving".
VW service - said nothing wrong with vehicle, we see charging errors - not us but your charger. We tested with our chargers and it worked fine.
Called Clipper Creek - they said there is 300ms safety test after you press the button that the ID4 is interpreting as start of a other charging session. They have seen this behavior on a jeep that expects that disconnect/safety function to be 100ms.
My work around on this is to turn the breaker on the RV subpanel off before disconnecting.
Anyone else having this or similar disconnect issue with their clipper creek
charger on their ID4?
