I only own a JuiceBox so I can't compare it to anything, but I am very happy with it. The app is easy to use and gives plenty of information. It was easy to set up, and customer service was very helpful.

I own both a ClipperCreek and a Grizzl-E EVSE. My opinion, based on my experience, is that ClipperCreek is a much better unit to own. Quality of construction, customer service, support, hands down ClipperCreek is superior.

If you’re shopping for an EVSE, consider spending the extra money for the ClipperCreek. This seems to be another case of “you get what you pay for.”
curious which model of clipper creek you are comparing. I have no experience with the clipper creek as they were way outside the price range I was looking at. I currently have a Wallbox unit that works great and my parents are getting a grizzl-e installed. The price differential is about $150 between the two but the reviews suggested the grizzl-e was a great “dumb” charger. Will let you know my thoughts once I try out my parents unit.

I love my Grizzl-e. Just solidly works, time after time. My electrician had a question about the unit, and their customer service answered it promptly and to his satisfaction. I have no other L2 EVSE to compare it to, so I won't argue which unit is best. But I'm very happy with my purchase.

I’ve owned 2 Grizzl-Es with great results. The only reason it is two is that I upgraded my Girzzl-E Classic to a Duo when we picked up our second ID4.

I have 2 Grizzl-e smart chargers and they work great. The acharger.ca website sucks ass at the moment, but the chargers are pretty much bulletproof. I also like the fact that they are made in Canada. Both of mine were mostly paid for by my utility companies, so that was a nice bonus.

And Clippercreek is made in the US. Grizzl-E ‘s advantage seems limited to the cold weather cable (available for an additional price) . Other than that just flip a coin. For the most part users of either aren’t the ones posting home charger problems on this site.

We have two Clipper Creek HCS units. They are super solid and reliable and the cable fits perfectly, every time. They also have the most weather resistant holster to hold the plug when it’s not in use. Recommend 100%

Grizzl-E is made in Canada. Almost the US. A lot closer than the car itself! 🤪

On issues with either the Clipper Creek or Grizzl-E, I agree….there have been few posts, if any. Grab either - whatever works Best for you…..

agreed there customer support is amazing too with a U.S. base support team when you call you can always ask for your representative. They upgraded me to next gen unit after I asked haha.

I'm just biased as both my Grizzl-E Classic and now Grizzl-E Duo was/is perfect (value priced - especially with the tax credit [US], UL listed, available, and tried-and-true) and couldn't ask for a better device for the ID4s sitting in the driveway. :)

My Grizzl-E Classic has worked great for over 10 months with no issue. Charges my Q5e and my ID4 perfectly,

Just had a Grizzl-e installed at the grandparents' house. They got the 40amp avalanche edition because they liked the white box vs. the black or the camo. Is a very solid unit and I like the aluminum casing as it feels very solid vs. plastic. Dip switches were set properly by default (40amp) from the factory but can be adjusted down based on the schematic included in the box. The handle goes in and comes out of the ID4 very smoothly without any issues as detailed in another post regarding getting stuck due to clearance issues with the locking pin. They didn't need a smart EVSE so grizzl-e checked the necessary boxes for them at a good price.

We have a wallbox at our house and we love it. It is plastic, unlike the grizzl-e but feels solid nonetheless and is a little more compact.

Have generally heard good things about the clipper creek but have zero experience with it.
