In the wake of the fatal crash in Texas which a driverless 2019 Tesla Model S struck a tree and killed the vehicle's two occupants, Consumer Reports decided to test out how a Tesla can drive on autopilot with no one in the driver seat.

Immediately after that crash became public multiple YouTube videos of people showing how their system would turn on without painted lines, mis-labeling the residential road speed limits (one was labeled 45mph), and physically exiting the vehicle while autopilot was moving the vehicle (without any weights on the steering wheel) were uploaded.

Without going into too much detail, one Californian has made it her amateur porn schtick to film while "performing" in the back of her Tesla.

In response to CR's recommendation that Tesla turn on seat monitoring, they may not realize it used to be on but was disabled because it interfered with Summon, which makes it more egregious to me. The rot starts from the head...interviews and tweets from Musk himself driving the car "autonomously" feed into this. They aren't going to change it without oversight because that's what he's selling.
