I am seeing a strange occurance with my ID4 and wanted to see if other users have noticed anything similar. When I set the cruise control to 65, the maximum speed the car will get to is 64. if I set to 66, it goes to 65. I can never get it to go at the speed I have set - it is always one MPH less. Has anyone else seen this? I have the Pro S Grad with the 20" wheels. Could there be a calibration issue I should be worried about? Its not a critical issue to be sure but annoying all the same.

It will do the set speed if going downhill. But yeah. I get that too. It sometimes does manage it for a brief moment before dropping 1 mph down. Mostly a software glitch.
Also i have a speed alert set at 5mph over road speed n i typically set cruise 5mph over limit and I thought maybe it just doesn't like to keep warning as it drops in and out of the limit and so it keeps the speed 1 under.

Yea, same here. I imagine there is a tolerable "buffer" zone in the programming. I wonder if the speed is actually something like 64.4 mph that is getting rounded down for the display. Or maybe the display drops the decimal and thus rounds down 64.9 mph?

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the set point is converted to km/hr internally, then truncated, and then converted back to mph.

That would be a weird way of going about it but if someone were to write a generic code for the global market, having a single unit with conversions makes sense.

This makes sense. The entire speedo is off, not just the cruise control, because I've paced it alongside our Touareg. I believe I explained it in a post here when I first purchased it on the initial drive home.

Yes. I just noticed this happening more these past few weeks. Originally my CC speed seemed to be spot on.
I'm in the same boat, and the internet amazes me that we can all get together and find out stuff like this. I've been puzzling over this for a couple of weeks. I wonder if there was a quiet software update that did this.

I also seem to notice - but it's hard to tell - that at about the same time the ACC seems to be much "softer" when speeding up and following other cars. I use "Eco" mode for the ACC. I'm happy with this perceived change, BTW.

Same here but at least this speedometer seems to be accurate. The Phaeton's is deliberately high by 7%. Seems that back in the day VW/Audi intentionally set the speedometer high to ensure that they would not be implicated in any speeding tickets due to someone challenging their calibration. I have learned to live with it but it is still frustrating.

Yes, I've found all my German cars have done this. That said, the ID.4's speedometer is too low.

I compared my speedometer with an app on my phone - GPS STATUS and it reads exactly the same. Every other recent car reads about 5% over actual speed.
