VW have finally given up and admitted that they can not repair the A/C compressor fault on my ID4 1st edition.
It's hard to believe but NOBODY in the UK has the connectors to re-gas the A/C system.
I am also told that I am not the ONLY one with this problem so there must have been a bad batch of compressors.

They have finally offered to buy back the car from me.

Does anybody know how long it currently takes to get delivery in the UK for a factory ID4 ?
If I ordered now, when would I expect to receive the car?

Ask your dealer. They usually have a reasonable estimate when ordering a new car. You could also ask around a few different dealers, as you may just find that one of them could have a stock car. This is part of a quote I picked from a UK forum today.

"So we booked a test drive for an ID.3 last Sunday, walked into the showroom and quickly changed to test drive the ID.4. 1 hour later we had ordered ID.4 148PS Life Pure Moonstone Grey which should be delivered by the end of the month as it was from a stock order from our dealer.

Suggest you join Octopus for ID4 charging unless you are already with them. In which case you should claim £90 if you are dual fuel or £45 if single fuel user with them.
If you join, then please use my referral code and we both get £50
I am on the "Go Faster" tariff and enjoy 5 hours per night at 5.5 p/Kwh which is plenty.
My referral code is :

+1 for Octopus. I’m Go Faster 4hrs at 5p/kWh starting 2030, I use the cheap rate to charge the house battery, run the dishwasher, charge the storage heater in the garden office, as well as for BEV charging…

I was able to claim £90 credit from Octopus as an existing customer just for ordering my ID4. I assume that deal is still in operation ?
