Based on previous posts, past rates range from the 1.85% special earlier in the year to around 2.5%. Is there somewhere we can look up VW's current rates?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!
Wow that is great rate how did you do that? My local CU gave me 2.7% and Penfed gave me 2.4% I guess my credit sucksGo to your local credit unions and find the best rate. Then walk into the finance manager’s office and tell them you buy today if they can beat that rate or otherwise they’ll have to wait for a bank check. Then watch as they get you a better rate from the same credit union.
I just turned a local CU offer of 1.89%/6 yr to a dealer wholesaled CU offer of 1.74%/6 yr.
The rates themselves are probably regional/dependent on how competitive the local market is. But most of these dealers do shop these loans to the same banks and can get better rates, even with their markup. They make their money on financing and they’ll absolutely be able and eager to beat the retail rates us consumers see.Wow that is great rate how did you do that? Yeah I read your post and followed it before I went in 😁 thanks for that! I applied at PenFed because your recommendation and they somehow allow non-military, but maybe also thats why the rate wasn't as good as it should be for me. I called up DCU as well but I was not eligible for their membership. I did not expect to get my ID.4 until January 22 (got a demo vehicle), and I was just a month before completed mortgage refi my credit dipped below 800. I plan to pay off the loan as quickly as possible so loan cost difference not that big of a deal, but sure feels so much better to have low interest rate number thoughI got a loan at DCU at 1.49% APR

Purchasing Best Practices - How To Pay No More Than MSRP
Why am I writing this post: Back in 2015, VW got caught cheating on Diesel emissions on what became Dieselgate. At the time, there were several options on how to deal with the cars sold. One of them was for VW to buy back their cars. I had at the time, a 2010 Jetta Sportwagen TDI and a 2013...www.vwidtalk.com
