I've seen dealer discounts on the FE, but has anyone got a discount on any other models (Pro, Pro S etc)? I was able to snag a $500 dealer discount on my Pro (their website listed it, I believe by mistake), in addition to the $500 VW military discount and 1.95% financing, I'm curious how others are doing.

I believe that as more ID4's are in the market place, dealers will start discounting them. There were several who ordered ID4's and have gotten frustrated with the process and backed out, so you have those on the market. There are some who, after taking delivery on their ID4 have decided they really do not like an EV and those are now showing up in the market place. There are also some who are frustrated that VW has delivered a not quite finished vehicle and let there ID4 go. I personally enjoy my ID4 and have worked around its shortcomings with hope that VW will correct these faults eventually. BUT, I really do not appreciate being the VW R&D department!

Here in the Denver area there have been about 20 on dealer lots for a few months, and some are discounting $2000. Probably due to most of us are waiting for AWD in this climate.

Whether or not you get a discount from a dealer is going to depend on local market conditions in your area. If the cars, including those from canceled reservations, are still selling quickly, don't expect a discount. However, as soon as inventory starts sitting there, then you'll be able to start talking deals. Compare SunWizard's comment about Denver dealers to St. Louis -- no deals yet in my area.

In southern Maine we purchased a FE last week with a $724 dealer discount. They assured me mine was the first deal they’d approved with any kind of discounting. Given market conditions, I think we did okay (not great). I like the car so far and hopefully it’ll improve a bit over time with OTA updates. I was glad to find a forum - it’s already been helpful (car gave me a fault yesterday and felt talked in off the edge after reading some posts).

How long have you been out of the military? I'm a veteran too.

My dealership was pretty strict about enforcing VW's within 24-months of separation rule. I only missed it by about 266 months. Dang.

I see lots of RWD inventory at Denver-area dealerships, but no discounts (at least not posted online). Instead, they all seem to be charging an extra $600-700 "D&H Fee". Ick.

Who's discounting $2,000?

Who's discounting $2,000?
I have been watching whats available on the lots here using cars.com which links to dealer websites for many months since I am still waiting. It varies day by day since they are selling. The 1 I saw yesterday with $2000 of appears sold, now I see only around $1000 off like this one:
new 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 for Sale at O'Meara Volkswagen
And yes most but not all have some questionable dealer fees which vary widely, but if they discount enough it more than covers that. Also note most of them say 'click on e-price for extra savings! " but I have not done that to see how much more they may go.

The other thing to consider is the used car market is hot at the moment, so depending on the trade-in situation, for some it may be beneficial to buy now at MSRP rather than buy at a discount but lose value on the trade.

Shift.com paid me about $3,000 more for my trade than I was expecting, plus I made it in just under the wire for a $2, 000 state rebate, and the day before the 1.85% financing expired. Getting a 1st Edition at roughly a $2,000 discount vs. a similarly speced Pro Gradient also factored in.

So while I'd love to have negotiated a deal on the purchase, taking the time to do so may have cost me more overall.

Good point. The NET amount you end up paying is really the only thing that matters. If they give me $5K more than my trade is worth, who cares if they add $3K of price hikes and worthless add-ons to the MSRP?
