who knows, they also made 7k+ cars and only I see 2k on inventory, they have not delivered 5k cars in 3 weeks. there is clearly big delay on updating the website from both VW and factory. they still only show 2 colors available :). I mean how hard is to update few lines of code to show new 2023 colors/interior combos!?

I figured out how to filter inventory for other colors by updating the "app" portion of the web address field (app=[{"value"%3A"6L6L"%2C). you just need to update the bold part with VW color code written twice. in this example Aurora Red code is L0G3/6L so you overide web address code between " marks to 6L6L and voila.

you can get the color codes from ID4 builder web address like red exteriorId-app=F14+6L6L:
RED is 6L6L
opal white is 0R0R
artic blue 3R3R
silver mist Q3Q3
pure gray J2J2

Sorry to post a different question on this thread, but does the VW portal allow to track where exactly an ID4 is when in transit to the dealership? I reserved a cancelled model and Im trying to get a more accurate ETA for it, but my dealer is not being very helpful, basically saying it will come when it will come.

Just trying to see if there's a way for me to track it on my end using the VIN.
Thanks

I found a dealer in the California bay area selling 2022's for $500 under MSRP. No tax credit, but I think it shows prices are starting to drop.

Tide is probably turning for sure. I doubt they'll go for a lot under MSRP but feels like it would help make up for the $5k gap.

At least they won’t sink this time! 🏴‍☠️

I am sure someone would appreciate the name of the dealer…
Winn Volkswagen in Newark. They have a 2022 Pro S RWD. It's white with galaxy. Oakland VW will sell at MSRP for 2022s but you have to finance or lease which I'm sure is where they rake you over the coals.

I dropped off my ID4 at the dealer today for the intermittent airbag error. They currently have zero new or used ID4s. In fact their stock of all new VWs is pretty thin.

As more MY2023 inventory gets cancelled because of the loss of tax credit on them after 2022, the "value" on MY2022 will get worse. I think those VW dealers that currently have MY2022 on the lots should start discounting them aggressively. I am not sure how it works when dealers end up with a lot cancelled reservations. I doubt VW will make them pay "MSRP" for those.

I can 't believe that VW and their dealerships would ever put the customers in the position of determining any particular dealerships inventory. In other words, I expect there is an agreement that unexecuted orders are an option for details to either return to VOA, or take on voluntarily. I can't imagine a dealership would ever ever agree to allow 100 customers to walk away from 100 orders and stick the dealer with 100 vehicles they don't want.

There's MSRP, there's Invoice, there are holdbacks and there are bonuses. If sales stall there may even be rebates to incentive customers.
