Hey all, after many struggles with charging between 12 am and 6am, I have it mostly figured out. After setting the above preferred charge times, I set my go time at 5:55am, charge to 80%, uncheck unlock charger automatically. It may take a few tries for the car to detect the charge rate to determine the proper start time. You may get no charge if your required charge cannot be completed in that amount of time. To be safe, you might want to move your preferred start time to 9pm. The app is frozen and will tell you nothing the entire night.

My first experience with delayed charging worked, sort of. I set it to charge to 40% when first plugged in, then to charge to 80% between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. It charged to 41% initially, then to 70% overnight. I have a 40A level 2 charger, so there was plenty of time for the charge to complete to 80% (and FWIW, the charge from 41% did not commence until sometime after midnight, when I went to sleep). My problem might have been, I set the scheduled charge limit to 80% and ALSO had the car's general charge limit setting set to 80%, so maybe it somehow combined the two limits (but then, wouldn't it have stopped charging at 64%?). Yes, it's possible that the car might learn and eventually choose the right charging start time.
