How is 175 kW on a 150 kW charger possible? I think this number is just as wrong as many others we have seen. The only metrics that seem reasonably correct are the current rate displayed on the charger screen, and the number you can read on your vehicle with, say, EVnotifiy.

If my math is correct you averaged about 84 kW. One time several weeks ago when I was down to just 40 miles of charge left I plugged in to an EA charger and it went up to 145 kW, but by 60% charge it dropped down to about 75.

I was in Starbucks for most of it so I never saw the screen but it was cycling from 100 to 175 then down as the curve dropped to 66 at the end but still occasionally jumping to 175. It was a fairly quick charge but I’d have to match it against a normal run to see if it was any faster when it claimed 175 or just followed a standard top run curve.

OK, OK, I felt special yesterday too! Took a trip to Dulles Airport and stopped at the nearby EA charger, and was informed I'd reached 175. Let me bask for a few minutes before popping that bubble :)

I had a similar experience yesterday during my first stop at the only EA station in Minnesota. I saw it hit 175 kW 3-4 times during the session.
