Eibach Springs' UK Instagram account shared this post on Instagram saying that they've been working on an ID.Buzz to fit their springs.
Apologies for being the pedant, but that's the TransportHQ workshop... an aftermarket mod shop. It's so ironic to see the Bilstein banners hanging in the background of the Eibach workshop![]()
Ok, thank you!I've never seen a core charge for springs (doesn't mean they don't simply get discarded for scrap), but it's been a while since I've bought a set.
The advantage of Eibachs (or H+R) is aesthetics. If they offered a spring + damper bundle you might be able to make an argument for handling, but as far as I know, neither Eibach or H+R offer dampers, so...
Y, you're correct. My bad. Thanks.Apologies for being the pedant, but that's the TransportHQ workshop... an aftermarket mod shop.
Side note, do Eibach offer dampers? I think of them as a spring manufacturer. Maybe I don't drive sporty enough vehicles, but all they offer for the cars I've owned recently are springs.
Both Eibach & H&R offer springs, dampers etc.I've never seen a core charge for springs (doesn't mean they don't simply get discarded for scrap), but it's been a while since I've bought a set.

In Europe underground car parks are usually 1.9 metres, VW know this and made the ID Buzz just under that, then some engineer decided he'd put a 3 cm antenna on the roof so it wouldn't fit... I probably won't bother with lowering springs on mine, but if I lived in or near a town and had to use underground car parks a lot, I would.what's the advantage of getting Eibachs anyway ?
Whoa! That's low. Are the car parks designed by brain injury clinics? I know a lot of people taller than 190cm. You'd think an extra 10cm wouldn't be that expensive. In Europe underground car parks are usually 1.9 metres, VW know this and made the ID Buzz just under that, then some engineer decided he'd put a 3 cm antenna on the roof so it wouldn't fit... I had a look before posting and didn't see dampers listed on either site. Unfortunately, Eibach don't even offer springs for the ID.4 :-(. But even when I took a look at cars previously in my garage (and a few friends garages), I didn't see dampers listed for any of them (Eibach or H+R). I didn't expect them to have dampers for every car, but a damper to match a spring offering for some/several/most would be nice. Both Eibach & H&R offer springs, dampers etc.
I guess if you're starting from scratch, 10cm doesn't make much difference. A lot of towns in Europe are pretty old, space is limited. Burrowing under existing buildings is not easy or cheap. Having said that, even when car parks are open air, there is often a 1.9m height barrier.Whoa! That's low. Are the car parks designed by brain injury clinics?
