Today I stopped by an upcoming location to check the progress. It looks like the chargers are all installed but still shrink wrapped and the meter is empty. Also there was a big roll of wire that they should do something with. This location has lots of stuff to do nearby including a mall, food, and even a Harbor Freight (where I bought tie down straps for my spare tire project).

It would be nice if we could find out where future chargers are planned
That would be nice. I live in Minnesota and am heading to the EA chargers near-ish to me (23 miles) this afternoon for my very first charge. It’s the one and only charger in the entire state! I really hope they build a few more near me. I live close to I-35 and that would be a logical highway to put them by.

I can't find it at the moment, but I have a vague recollection of seeing an interview with someone from EA who said their intention is to show a location as "coming soon" in the app and on the web site as soon as they have a contract with the property owner and initial regulatory approvals. In my opinion, it would be unwise for them to release information about specific locations any earlier.

On the other hand, their press releases do give a broad outline of what's coming next, including: first locations in Hawaii, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Vermont; more stations in Montana, Minnesota, and New Hampshire; a "significant expansion" in Washington State; a deal with Westfield for chargers at 19 properties across 7 states, etc. Sometime later this year, their official "ZEV Investment Plan" for Cycle 3 should be released with more details of what's coming in 2022 and 2023 (though again only in broad terms). It's interesting to go back and read the Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 plans to get an idea of what kind of planning has gone into their network so far.

As a Seattle resident, I'm hopeful that the new locations in South Dakota, combined with additional locations in Montana and Minnesota mean we'll finally see a northern cross-country route along I-90. 🤞

We could really use a lot more in Florida. The closest to me is about 30 miles (Gainesville) and it is very unreliable Only 1 of 5 CCS chargers have worked for the past 2 weeks and the one that does work often needs to be reset so don't go anywhere while using it because it may stop

One of EA's strategies is working with shopping malls. Here in San Diego, Westfield malls are getting EA DC fast chargers. I think this is a win for both parties, as EA enlarges their footprint and malls increasingly having trouble attracting shoppers have one more reason for people to go there.
Maybe those of you with wishlists can suggest the scheme to local mall management? Can't hurt.

High gas prices, high electric prices, and the California push for EVs also helps us.

No longer coming soon, this location is now up and running as of today. Only one pump working but I will take it. The app claims I am getting 175kW right now at 75% SoC but the screen on the pump, and the screen in the car, and the VCDS-Mobile logs say nope more like 56%

There is a Westfield Mall in Bay Shore, NY that is supposed to get EA chargers, per their press release last year, but I don't see any evidence of them breaking ground yet.
