For all European ID4's with a glass roof, so expecting this to come to the US as well:
The roof module is missing a retainer tab. As a result, it may become detached in the event of a crash.
The affected vehicles were manufactured between 1 May 2020 and 22 January 2021.

Other than checking with my dealer, is there a way to find manufacture date? Is this info on the window sticker?
Thanks.

Sometimes manufacturers place that information on the plate or sticker when you open up the driver's door but if not the only other way I think you could find out is through your dealer
The next time I will read the entire thread before asking a question. Now to go check my driver's door for a sticker. Thanks.

Another option might be to contact Volkswagen of America customer service there's an ID for specialist group there and give them your VIN number and ask them if they could research it they probably would be able to tell you off the VIN number

Whew probably dodged that bullet as well. Mine was late March manufacture. No issues with mine so far even that back light bar issue so many seem to have had
Really? My Pro was manufactured on 3/21 and it has the back light bar gap issue.
Perhaps I should have waited for my reservation to come through instead of buying one off the lot.... Maybe the issue depends on where you drive. I drive in the very hot East Bay and South Bay areas of SF, and the temperature swings throughout the day can be unbelievably be large. And the roads are rough. When I see the gap is excessive, I just push the light assembly back in and it's okay for awhile. I have seen one gap on an ID.4 that was close to 1/2". The lady and her kids seemed very content with the world, so I refrained from pointing the gap out.
