Just a note, that I have the non-mini version in the area on the right side of the mirror in our AWD and it works with no issues. Honestly, I don't know if the Mini will even work in that area as it supposedly turns your entire windshield into the antenna, but no idea how the coating might mess with that. Maybe someone else here has used a Mini successfully and can comment. But I've had not issues with the regular suction cup version.
