Bjørn Nyland just tested a VW ID.4 GTX fitted with a cargo liner. Since I'm getting tired of waiting for VW to bring it here and I'm sick of plastic trashbags failing to catch sand in the trunk, I did a little searching of my own on the VW site in Belgium. I found the cargo liner and its part number.

It's for a protection package that has rubber mats and cargo liner. But who cares about the mats. The description of the package lists part numbers; the cargo liner - 11A061160A

It is funny how on the VW site it shows the mat with a Golf logo. Guess VW Belgium is as bad at putting updated pictures on their site as VW America.

Only the top floor. I have a PDF here with the numbers for a few more EU (Dutch) VW accessories, if there is interest.

OK found the video and see he has it installed on top of the false (upper) floor, so it fits there. Wonder if it also fits on the lower one. The description is staring me right in the face on Amazon: "Only for Variable Boot Floor (Top Position)"

I believe there is also another version that works with the floor in the lower position. But this one seems that it's only sold in Europe...and not in the US Amazon store or currently available to ship internationally.

Carefull, this one is only for the base floor. So if you don’t have the false floor system at all!

Might work if you completely remove the rails. See Regular EV Dad's (@jongarusa) YouTube video as a reference, though he was trying to fit the Muddy Buddy mat.

Thanks for referenceing the video. My usecase was a little different. I removed the rails as I wanted to fit both the muddybuddy, and in the trunk itself, a 400 crate

I ordered the one that fits on the double floor. Arrived today using DHL. The tracking shows it went through Stuttgart and Leipzig facilities on its way to the US.
It fits very nicely. It's made of the finest Italian polystyrene foam - reminds me of an egg carton, but is hopefully more durable.

It covers up the two anchor points right behind the seats, but there is a marking you can cut out if you use those regularly.

Also when folding down the seats there will still be a lip, but it is soft and would get flattened with anything on top of it.

AMZN still lists 5 in stock. The price seems to fluctuate wildly. I paid $125+tax & free shipping. Then I saw it for only $70 but $28 shipping. Now it's $141 & free shipping.

That looks awesome! Definitely better and easier to clean up the mat. I pick mine up from DHL tomorrow. For some odd reason, it was delayed twice in Germany on the way to the US.

I just got and installed my cargo mat today and it fits exactly like the mat @bluedanube posted about. Is it worth it? For me, it is. Would it ever be on sale in the US for less? Only VW can answer that. I'm just glad I was able to find the part number in Belgium then order it on Amazon for delivery in the US.

That Volkswagen 11A061161 with false floor and rails removed looks like the cleanest way to maximize space. I can pop a few plastic "button bolts" into the screw holes to secure the side panels and make a clean look. USD115 is fine for the mat, just not ready to spend another 230 for shipping

that mat costs ~$50 in Germany (Fußmatten & Kofferraumeinlagen).
only challenge is the shipping.

Tony thanks for the heads up. I ordered from them Friday and got a "waiting for approval" from the site. They also listed the ID4 roof rack cross bars for like 255. I'll see what they come up with for shipping the 2 items.
