Hey everyone,

I've ordered a Pro AWD without the statement package here in Canada. I wanted the statement package headlights but couldn't justify $8000 for fancy headlights lol (I don't care too much for the other stuff)

I also noticed that the GTX is going to have fog lights included.

Any of you guys here contemplating swapping out your LED reflector headlights to the projectors as well once they become available? The wiring should all be the same I would assume

The fog lights are a different story. I'm not sure if every car will have the same wiring harnesses, globally, or if you'd have to order the harness for the fogs in order to make it all a clean install

My wife and I plan to upgrade the lighting package to our MY2023 ID.4 Pro.

We have modified our MY2016 Golf R with OEM EU LED taillights through a VW third party online parts company. This swap could only be accomplished with the lights, additional wiring harness and coding through an obdeleven device. Our Golf R already had the projector headlights with cornering feature from the factory.

Our thoughts to modify ID.4 taillights include lights (all three), wiring harness, and coding device to make the switch using AEM or OEM parts. To add the upgraded headlights possible plug and play since the part is already available second hand or new from VW parts store. Coding will still need to be done to make the light features work. Time will tell as more cars get sold and owners personalize them.

We have also contacted a few VW OEM/AEM online parts companies to see if they will be supporting the ID.4. One said Yes! Once the parts are available through them or VW direct, we will be moving quickly to add these parts. We really like the EU ID.4 LED taillights and the dynamic movement they have.

We also want to add dynamic signals to the side view mirrors . Should be a fun project to complete!

I added the European IQ rear lights to my Arteon. I would like to do the same modification to my ID.4, so please share when you find out more information on the parts and coding for them.
