Week 33 (Denmark)
Week 33 (Denmark)Wondering if anyone that has ordered a GTX has gotten any estimated delivery dates?
My order has had the status "ordered" ever since I put down the order back in May.
Beginning of MayWhen did you order your vehicle?
Not sure what you mean with code, it just says: "production plans for your vehicle has begun". Next step is construction of the car, then it's transportation and finally delivery.
Gotta love our proximity and ties to GermanySame status for my GTX (order in May, sweden)
"production plans for your vehicle has begun"
Here in DK, you get a base version, and you then have to opt in various packages: I chose all available packages with Topsport Plus interior, Tech Package Plus, Muktimedia Package plus and so forth.@ID4 GTX and @Jon B. Ross what specs did you guys go with as well as what colours?
Addding some decals after just for the heck of itHere in DK, you get a base version, and you then have to opt in various packages: I chose all available packages with Topsport Plus interior, Tech Package Plus, Muktimedia Package plus and so forth.
Moonstone Grey with the standard 20" rims.
You?
Interesting - I've never had a car with DCC before, so time will tell, whether it was worth the money or not.Same system in Sweden, I picked everything except DCC as I've never used it on my Tiguan that's equipped with it.
Picked Mangan Grey Metallic Black, wonder if colour has any weight on when in the production run the car is built?
I've seen the Mangan Grey live, and itJust "GTX - equipped" (AWD, free external colour choice, iq Light, 20" wheels) with towbar and 19" wintertires, Mangan Grey Metallic Black. I would like to have the AR headup display but not in budget...
Got notification last week that our GTX did not leave Zwickau as scheduled, probably due to chip shortages - I have a full production code, which my dealer says is positive, but I will be positive, when it is actually shipped.I am afraid that is correct. 15-1 is ready for production, 15-2 is in production, 20-1 seems to be production complete and 20-2 appears to be leaving the factory. My AWD has been at 15-2 for two weeks with no VIN assigned yet, so it will be a while longer. Even longer if the rumors of the factory being shut for the first 3 weeks of August for vacation are true.
Heard from another dealer that loads of cars are being completed, but then have to wait for those missing chipsOrdered the GTX in mid May, preliminary production week was 24. Portal says that vehicle has been completed, but I have not received any estimate for delivery (to Finland) . Car has both VIN and register number already assigned.
Good question - it has a full production code, so, according to the dealer, it is done bar the infamous missing chip(s); but, I reckon it's all semantics. Is the state for the car then "completed" or "in production" ?
You have to ask the dealer - and my delivery date is now as certain as human rights in Afghanistan. Can you track the status online or do you have to contact the dealer? I ordered mine beginning of May with delivery date week 36 I have been informed about a risk of 2 months delay!
Let us know, if you get confirmationMine is supposed to be built next week, fingers crossed it actually gets built!
Great news! We ordered ours around the same time, so I am just hoping they are producing all the Nordic GTX's in the same batch.Newbie here also joining to discussion. I have also ordered GTX with tow hook on early May. The car have been in 'production' state for weeks. This week was amazing since first I got the vin-code and today the Finnish tracking portal says, car is ready.
I think we should all buckle up for riding out further delays: Malaysia, the location of one of VW's primary chip suppliers' (50+ semiconductors for the ID.4) main production facilities, is seeing a surge in Covid-19 cases and, consequently, the shutdown of factories and businesses. This was the week when my car was supposed to be built, so far no update in the app, and my dealer hasn't gotten any information that it will actually be built this week. Still three days to go!
The ever increasing chip shortages has resulted in between two weeks up to a couple of months of delays according to my dealer, fingers crossed I'm not affected...But I'm fairly sure I am.
Welcome to the forum and the GTX order!Hi, I have also recently ordered a gtx. According to the seller I will have to wait 4 months. He did however mention something interesting. Looking at VW they are focusing on geting the ID series on the market rather than the other models. They are still have deals on the id 4 series but increasing price on the other models.
Another thing I am tackling is the infotainment plus package, which I have ordered. According to the seller there is NOT a speaker upgrade in that package, or it does not mention it in the details but when I look at vw homepage it states a speaker upgrade with more speakers and a subwoofer also. I spoke with vw, and got an inofficial answe that there was a speaker upgrade. Will try to get that on print somehow as that is important for me.
VW themselves offer a couple of decent pkug-and-play upgrades for the boot for around 4.000 DKK.Ye, no update on my front, still not begun building it. According to my dealer there is something like a two week delay, so hopefully week 36 or 37 at the latest, exlucding missing parts dragging that out further.
I'm fairly sure there is no speaker upgrade, I test-drove a fully equipped GTX and the sound was just as awful as in the ID.4 Pro performance and ID.4 Max that I've also tested.
I however did pick the Infotainment Plus-package, as your surely already know, it gives you AR, heads-up display and the bigger infotainment screen.
To solve the sound I've contacted a speaker installer, and will be getting the full focal kit (being discussed in the sound thread) installed before I take delivery.
Only saw your destination now - the country flags disappear in the forum's dark mode, so back to light mode for me.Welcome to the forum and the GTX order!
May I ask when you ordered exactly, and where you are located?
And also: where do you see the speaker upgrade?
With regards to the ID.-family, VW is prioritising it over the ICE-models, as VW is facing a massive EU-fine, should they miss their CO2-target - unfortunately, the semiconductor crisis is now not only affecting the ICE-lines but also Zwickau.
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum.
We ordered at ID.4 GTX in mid August. Dealer said ETA was week 12! But the dealer also said everything is very uncertain -- could be before, could be later. However, six months seems like a very long time to wait, so we were a bit disappointed about this. Anyway, I've noticed that some people in here are able to do some kind of tracking via the my.volkswagen page, but I'm not sure how to do this. Could someone explain to me how I can do that since the dealer appears to be incapable of sharing any kind of information until six weeks before the expected delivery date.
Also, if anyone has any information on updates on the shipping rates that would be much
Spoke to my dealer today: we are automatically getting the upgraded sound systemI started searching because the dealership couldn’t give a proper answer. When I found that link om VW page i reached out to them. The person from customer service couldn’t answer but reached out to one of the managers who then confirmed the info. I have however not gotten a proper written response. I have sent an email to try to get the same conformation again. However, I fear that you are right because I experienced the same thing when I drove the gtx in comparison to the regular ID 4.
If I understood him correctly, you can get it with any of the infotainment packages, either at a discountet rate or included, if you ordered the Plus-package - but I have nothing on paper, so I cannot verify the details.Sorry if I'm being slow, but does that mean that every GTX will be outfitted with upgraded sound system? Or only if you bought a certain package?
Nope - my salesman has promised to push for an answer, and I will update you, if I get oneWauw nice to hear.
Still no word on delivery though![]()
