Is it possible to ask if you added a few of the packages that`s now marked with delay? If Norway has the same rate as Sweden then my car ordered now in may could come in December, but I`ve added both the delayed packages, so might not apply to my order.

I should have added a footnote. When I made the decision to order a GTX in early February (thus before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine) the waiting list was long too, I think the sales rep said something like 7 months. Main reason then (and still a problem I assume) semiconductor shortages and the pandemic. My nice sales rep (who incidentally emailed his resignation whilst we were talking - am I such a pain in the ****? 😄) kindly offered to buy a GTX they’ve ordered as a showcase car but it was one step from being locked. Thus I could customize freely to my liking (incl. various packages causing an extra delay), get a shortcut to production and the car was locked some days after.

Ah, ok. I also have overtaken an earlier ordernumber but think it was only a few weeks older and my sales rep said it wasnt guaranteed it would make any difference anyway because of the packages.
Anyway, glad to hear you got a good deal with your dealer and get to drive with 4x4 when the nordic winter sets in.

Mine was recently changed to MY2023. Production should start on week 37. I have ordered it on mid september 2021. Is I like the new 21” all black rims I have added them to my order and it looks that there was no impact on the production date.

I am going for the black rims aswell. Sent an e-mail to the dealer today. Est. production week 47, ordered early may 2022.

No idea, they know whatever VW Germany tells them. Which has been very little.

Germany didn't give them any reason for the delay from October to January either. They did ask if there's a specific reason, but were told no.

Most dealers work for a commission, so it absolutely sucks for them as well.

Sad to hear you have been postponed again.

Mine was postponed from a suggested production week 42 to week 50 from august to september. My dealer says she doesnt expect it in production before somewhere in Q1 2023 anyway. When we ordered in may 2022 she said at least a year waiting time, so any delivery before may 2023 is a bonus. .

Called them and gave them en earful. They had no idea about what is the reason to for the delay, except it's basically for all with the same trim, so not just me.

I would take a good hard look at Kia EV6 at this point, except that those aren't going to be delivered before 2024, is the latest word.

Then again, at this rate, the expected delivery for the VW is going to be 2024, when I check the crystal ball in January.

We recived our Nissan Ariya last week as a replacement for our 2nd car. Since you are not depening on the towing hook I would reccomend you at least test drive it aswell if you are concidering changing. Had the Ariya been available for test drive when I ordered the ID4 Im not sure I would have gone for the ID4. Maybe only because of bigger luggage room. Have concidered having two Ariyas if the dealer can get me a car thats already in order and would be here quickly.

Well now I got a letter from VW. There a still bottlenecks on the availability of compononents and Volkswagen is unable to produce GTXs. All GTXs not confirmed for production have been moved to 2023. The current "assessment" is that production will resume during early 2023.

Is that letter a reply on an enquiry from you, or is it something VW (germany?) has sent out on their own to inform customers?
Anyway, total bummer news.

A nice PDF letter at least our local VW sent out to customers who are waiting on a GTX.

The stated issue is parts needed for the AWD powerline. Assuming that this is all of Europe - as the wording of the letter states - then I'd assume that it's going to be dropping in other countries as well. There is no date on the letter itself, but the PDF file is named "....09-2022", so seems like a recent development.

It also aligns with my expected production being pushed to March 2023 two weeks ago or so. And it's directly contrary to my expected production being January 2023, to which is changed to yesterday.

Ok, Thanks. Just wondering if I should expect to recive something from VW Norway or my local dealer. She normally calls me once a month, so guess I`ll be informed of this in the middle of October then.

Talked to my dealer on the phone right now and she said my Id.4 GTX is locked for production in week 4 2023. 🥳

When did you order, and what level of equipment?

May 2022. All plus packages except sport seats and DCC. Changed to the black rims when 2023 specs was available.

Week 4 is 23.-28.1.

Confirmed to production should be expected 19-23.12, so next week.

If they confirm early, that is promising, because the timeline should hold after they confirm.

Yeah, had the monthly update last week. The info in her software was expected production week 6 after being expected production week 2 in the november update. So was thrilled when she contaced me to today and said it was confirmed week 4. Wasn't expected to hear anything from her before january.

Got a e-mail today that mine is out of factory and at Bremerhaven waiting for a boat to take it to Norway.
Also got the VIN, any fun things to do with that outside of the VW-system?

You scandic guys who have recived the car. How long did it sit in Bremerhaven before boarding a ship to scandinavia? Mine has been at the port since 10.feb now.
